Ingredients


cabbage leaves
12 pcs

For the filling:
salt
1 tsp
eggs
1 pcs
onions
2 pcs
ground meat
½ kg
garlic
3 cloves
parsley
2 sprigs
pepper
1 pinch
tomato paste
2 tbs
butter
2 tbs
rice
100 g

For the sauce:
white wheat flour
1 tbs
tomato paste
2 tbs
butter
1 tbs
sour cream
1 tbs

Preparation

  1. Cook the cabbage head in boiling salt water for approximately 30 minutes. When the cabbage has cooled down, separate the leaves and remove larger veins.
  2. Prepare the filling. Sauté the onion and garlic over butter.
  3. Mix ground meat with egg, raw rice, tomato paste, and chopped parsley. Add the onion mixture. Season to taste.
  4. Put the filling onto the cabbage leaves and roll them up. Arrange the cabbage rolls closely next to each other. Carefully pour boiling water over them.
  5. Let them simmer on the cooking hob for approximately 90 minutes.
  6. Prepare sauce. Put butter in a pan and stir in the flour. Add tomato paste, sour cream and water. Sauté another minute and remove from heat.
  7. Pour the sauce on the cabbage rolls and place the open pot into an oven.
