- Separate the egg whites from the yolks.
- Whisk together the margarine and sugar.
- Add flour, baking powder, and salt. During mixing, add beaten egg yolks.
- Separately combine chopped dry fruit, raisins, and rum, and add to dough.
- Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the dough mixture. Pour the cake into a greased baking mould.
