If rich and creamy is something you really like, try this indulgent recipe for a classic potato gratin dish. Serve it as a main meal, with some crusty bread and a large mixed salad on the side.

Ingredients

heavy cream
250 ml
sour cream
250 ml
peeled potatoes
1 kg

Preparation

  1. Peel and cut the potatoes into round slices. Cook the potatoes in salt water until half done.
  2. Place one half of potatoes into greased baking dish. Sprinkle with one half of the cheese.
  3. Layer the second half of the potatoes over the cheese. Pour with the mixture of sour and heavy cream, eggs, and nutmeg. Sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top.
