Whether you are a Fast-Food Fan, an Enthusiastic Foodie or Kitchen Ninja, we have ideas to inspire you. Buon appetito!

Level: Fast-Food Fan – you can pull it off in a few minutes

  • Nuts – have them always stashed somewhere safe for emergency cravings
  • Fresh fruit – simply cut apples into slices and share with your loved ones
PRO TIP! For those hot summer days, try a very very cold watermelon.
  • Dried fruit – raisins, cranberries, apples
  • Fresh vegetables – just make sure to cut them into small, bite-sized pieces
PRO TIP! You can think of a “dip” for this one. How about a healthy almond butter or guacamole?

Level: Enthusiastic Foodie – you will need a few minutes more…but it’s so worth it

  • Nutty Apple Butter – pick up some fresh apples and cook them until soft. Whisk in some peanut butter and when its cooled, spread over some whole-wheat toast or use as a fresh fruit dip – your kids will love this spin on PBJ!
  • Fruit sorbet – just wash up, cut and freeze fruit of your choice first and then puree it using a blender.
PRO TIP! Make sure the blender is strong enough to handle ice
  • Home-made lemonade – mix together water, fresh lemon juice and a spoon of honey. Serve cooled with lemon wedges and ice
  • Watermelon pizza – cut out triangle-shaped pieces of watermelon and decorate it with other fruits. Fun eating guaranteed!
  • Fruit skewers – mix and match fruit on a stick however you please! How about a rainbow color scheme?

Level: Kitchen Ninja – not because it’s hard, but more preparation time is needed

  • Banana bread – who doesn’t like that one?
  • Honey-tahini cookies with sesame – try checking for this recipe online. There’s plenty of great ones available
  • Your own ice popsicles with real fruit – cut fruit into small pieces and freeze them in a liquid – this can be just water or with an added splash of healthy condensed juice. You can experiment with funny shapes!
  • Fruit sushi – a feast for tums and the eyes! If you want your family to generally eat more fruit, you can try creating cool sushi rolls with your family’s favorite fruits.
PRO TIP! You can roll them up together! Such a nice way to spend some fun time together with a sweet reward at the end
  • Baked banana – peel the bananas, cut them in half, sprinkle with some cinnamon and a few drops of honey and bake for 10-15 minutes until they turn a nice, golden color

Whether you prefer convenience or creativity in the kitchen, it doesn’t matter. As long as you put your heart into everything you do for your family, they’ll definitely appreciate it. Remember – when in doubt, you can find endless tips on the web that fit your mood and needs.
