With the SoftMelt function engaged, the cooking zone will maintain a constant temperature of 42 °C. Even heating is an excellent function allowing you to simply and safely melt honey, butter, or chocolate – without danger of burning! This function is also ideal for thawing frozen food. StayWarm function makes it easy to keep your food at the ideal temperature for serving, i.e. 70 °C. At this temperature, the food will stay warm while retaining its flavour and aroma.
Since the induction hob is only heated underneath the pan and temperature adjustments are effective immediately, the danger of boiling or spilling over is minimal. Hence, nothing gets burnt and stuck onto the hob! In case of accidents, simply wipe the surface. Fresh water will do.
As long as a cooking zone is still hot, this will be indicated by a light signal. When on, do not touch the zones. Residual heat can be used to keep food warm, or for slow melting – without using any additional energy.
Countdown timer can be set to up to 99 minutes. If you know the optimum cooking time for a particular dish from experience, set the timer and the hob will switch off automatically after the set period. A beep will signal that your food is ready.
