Roasted chickpea snack


A great, addictive and at the same time healthy snack! Chickpeas make a healthy snack and are simple to make. Loaded with fiber, zinc, folate and protein it’s a huge win. You can use any spice you like or adjust the seasoning to your taste. The possibilities are endless. 


  • 400 g chickpeas (cooked and drained / from the tin already cooked)
  • 2 tsp olive oil 
  • 1/2 tsp chili pepper powder or ½ tsp garlic powder or 1/2 tsp curry powder

Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Mix chickpeas, olive oil and spices and put the mixture on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake for 40 minutes. Take them out and shake well every 10 minutes before putting them back in the oven. All ovens are different so make sure they don’t burn. They will be golden brown and crunchy on the inside when done, not moist.
