1. Ketchup
Was enjoying your hot dog shortened by a ketchup stain that found its way on your white dress or new trousers? Don’t panic and resist your first reaction. Instead of rubbing the stain away immediately, find a spoon or a knife and then first try remove the excess ketchup from your clothes. After removing as much of the stain as possible, treat the stain with gentle soap or with a mixture of salt and water, then wash in your washing machine.

2. Sweat
Sweat stains can be embarassing and can quickly ruin relatively new clothing. So how will you remove them? Before washing in the washing machine, rub liquid detergent thoroughly into the stain. Bleach can also help you remove the unpleasant yellow stains, especially from white shirts and bedsheets.
3. Wine
Soak the laundry in cold water for at least 30 minutes. After that, apply a stain remover and wash in the washing machine on your usual cycle.

4. Sunscreen
Sunscreen can produce really annoying stains, but not using sun protection during the summer isn’t an option.  If you get sunscreen on your garments, the important thing is to not leave them in the sun. If possible, treat them with a gentle soap or a stain remover as soon as possible, then wash them as you normally would.

5. Grass
Every mother knows the problematic grassy knees, but there's an easy way to get rid of them: before washing in the washing machine, soak the laundry in an enzyme-based stain remover or in diluted lemon juice or distilled vinegar for about an hour.

6. Fruit juice and ice cream
